Fundraiser for thousands affected by August 2011 floods in Pakistan
Buddies Without Borders will be selling Pakistan Flood Relief wristbands at the Chaand Raat festival on Monday August 29th at Mehran Restaurant in Fremont, California. Donations will be going to SA Relief to support Flood Relief 2011 – Mission Badin.

Calling all Glee fans, Daily Show viewers, and Star Trek diehards alike! Come join OPEN Chicago and leaders of the Pakistani-American community at the Pakistan Flood relief celebrity fundraiser.
The event will take place on Sunday, January 16, 2011 and will feature actor Faran Tahir (Iron Man, Star Trek, Charlie Wilson’s War), Aasif Mandvi from The Daily Show, and Iqbal Theba from the acclaimed Fox TV show Glee. Acclaimed dessert chef Malika Ameen of By M Desserts and a Top Chef Desserts contestant will be in attendance.

Event: Flood Crisis, an alternate perspective …
On September 28, 2010 Khalid Mahmood, Director of Labour Education Foundation (LEF), and member of Labour Relief Campaign (LRC) will be visiting the San Francisco Bay Area to speak on the current flood crisis, relief efforts, the demand to write off loans and the condition of peasants and labourers in affected regions.

Benefit Qawaali for Flood Relief at Indus Valley School, Karachi
Join us for an evening of devotional music at Indus Valley School as Fareed Ayaz & Brothers pay tribute to legendary Sufi poets and thinkers, ranging from Hazrat Amir Khusrau to Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi. Fareed Ayaz’s qavvaal party belongs to the 705 year old “Qavvaal Bachon Ka Gharana” of Delhi. They are the sons of the legendary Munshi Raziuddin and are internationally acclaimed as being amongst the finest qavvaals of the sub-continent. Village Pastels Exhibition Fundraiser on 8/29
SA Relief in partnership with Village Pastels
invites you to an fundraiser exhibition of its exquisite eco-friendly handcrafted products from India made selected from organizations that promote income generation schemes for women in India.
All profits from this exhibition will be donated to the flood victims of Pakistan. A list of organizations will be posted soon. You are welcome to make additional donations at the event directly to relief organizations in addition to any purchases made.
